Residential Services
Arc of Maui County provides residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. There are five group homes throughout the Maui County community: Kihei, Kahului, Waiehu, Napili, and Molokai. All homes are licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Health, Intermediate Care Facility, or Domiciliary, and five homes are wheelchair accessible.

Residential services are available for those eligible for Medicaid Waiver services through the Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Division. The homes are designed for 4-5 residents, each with staff support 24 hours a day.
Residential services are designed to promote a high quality of living, primarily focusing on community integration and self-determination. Staff is fully trained to provide varying levels of support and assistance to meet the individual needs of each resident. Residents are encouraged to meet their highest level of independence in daily living and personal care activities and participate in social, recreational, and community activities.

Guardians, family members, and friends are welcome and encouraged to participate in all aspects of the resident’s life. Services are designed to promote the health and well-being of each resident. Nursing and nutritional services, medication assistance, and transportation are included in the various services.
